Chương trình SDS là gì?
Chương trình Study Direct Stream (SDS) là chương trình thủ tục nhanh dành cho sinh viên tại bốn quốc gia: Việt Nam, Ấn Độ, Trung Quốc, và Phi-lip-pin. Đây sẽ là chương trình chung dành cho bốn quốc gia châu Á nói trên với tính chất đánh giá thử nghiệm và sẽ mở rộng áp dụng cho các nước khác sau này.
Yêu cầu của chương trình SDS?
Sinh viên đăng ký tham gia chương trình theo SDS phải đáp ứng các tiêu chuẩn sau đây:
– Sinh viên được nhận vào học tại một chương trình học toàn thời gian tại trường đại học, cao đẳng, viện nghiên cứu thuộc CEGEP có DLI
– Điểm IELTS tối thiểu là 6.0 cho mỗi kỹ năng (Nghe, nói, đọc, viết). Có hiệu lực trong vòng hai năm trở lại đây. Trong khi đó, chương trình CES yêu cầu IELTS tối thiểu là 5.0 ( không kỹ năng nào dưới 4.5);
– Mua một Chứng chỉ Đầu tư Đảm bảo (GIC) của Scotiabank với mức 10.000 CAD để trang trải chi phí sinh hoạt cho năm đầu tiên ở tại Canada;
– Giấy tờ chứng thực đã thanh toán học phí trong 1 năm;
– Khám sức khoẻ trước trước khi nộp đơn ít nhất 1 tuần.
Khi nào chương trình SDS sẽ được triển khai?
Chương trình SDS sẽ được triển khai trong một vài tuần tới. Hiện chưa có ngày chính thức.
Điều gì đang xảy ra với chương trình CES?
Chương trình CES sẽ được tiếp tục như bình thường, hiện tại chưa có thay đổi gì.

Những câu hỏi thường gặp về du học Canada diện SDS:
1. Đi du học dạng SDS Canada có ảnh hưởng gì đến việc xin việc làm ở lại định cư Canada sau khi tốt nghiệp hay không?
– Không. Đi bằng visa thường hay visa SDS không ảnh hưởng đến bằng cấp, xin việc hay định cư của người học.
2. Nếu học Thạc Sĩ Canada đi theo dạng SDS, vợ/ chồng có được đi theo dạng phụ thuộc không?
– Được. Vợ/ chồng ban đầu sẽ đi theo visa visitor, sau tìm việc ở Canada và chuyển thành open work permit. Nhưng bắt buộc phải chứng minh tài chính đối với người vợ/ chồng đi theo này. Để chắc chắn hơn, thì người học đi qua trước đã. Vợ/ chồng sau đó hãy xin qua sau.
3. Học chương trình tiếng Pháp ở Canada thì có đi dạng SDS được không?
– Được. Nhưng cần liên hệ lãnh sự quán/ công ty du học để biết điều kiện quy đổi từ IELTS sang TEF nhé.
4. Học sinh dưới 18 tuổi có nộp xin SDS được không?
– Còn tuỳ hồ sơ.
Đối với các tỉnh bang khác: Nếu chưa tốt nghiệp cấp 3 thì không xin được. Vì SDS chỉ áp dụng cho bậc học Cao đẳng/ Đại học. Còn đã tốt nghiệp cấp 3 thì vẫn nộp được bình thường.
Đối với bang BC: tuổi tối thiểu nộp SDS là 19 tuổi.
5. Xin visa SDS, khi nào cần study plan, khi nào thì không?
– Tuy trên luật ghi là không cần kế hoạch học tập (study plan), nhưng nếu case của bạn khó. Bạn nên chuẩn bị thêm cả study plan để tăng tính thuyết phục với lãnh sự quán.

What is the SDS?
The Study Direct Stream (SDS) is a facilitation program for students in four countries: Vietnam, India, China, and the Philippines. It will be a single program across the above-named four countries in Asia, with a view to evaluating and eventually expanding it to other countries.
SDS program requirements?
Students applying to the SDS program must meet the following criteria:
– Students are admitted to a full-time study program at CEGEP universities, colleges and research institutes with DLI
– Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 for each skill (Listening, speaking, reading, writing). Effective in the last two years. Meanwhile, the CES program requires a minimum IELTS of 5.0 (no skills below 4.5);
– Purchase a Scotiabank Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) at CAD 10,000 to cover living expenses for the first year of stay in Canada;

– Health check before applying at least 1 week.
When will the SDS implemented?

1. Does studying abroad in SDS Canada affect the job application to stay in Canada after graduation?
– No. Going on a regular visa or SDS visa does not affect a student’s degree, job application or residence.
2. If studying a Canadian Master in the form of SDS, can the spouse follow the dependent form?
– OK. The original spouse will follow the visitor visa, after finding a job in Canada and turning into an open work permit. But it is mandatory to prove financially to this accompanying spouse. For greater certainty, the learner passes first. Later spouse please ask later.
3. Is it possible to study French in Canada?
– OK. But please contact the consulate / study abroad company to find out the conditions for converting from IELTS to TEF.
4. Can students under the age of 18 apply for SDS?
– Depending on the profile.
For other provinces: If you have not graduated from high school, you cannot apply. Because SDS only applies to the College / University level. If you have graduated from high school, you can still pay normally.
For BC: minimum age for SDS submission is 19 years old.

5. Demander un visa SDS, quand ai-je besoin d’un plan d’étude, quand?
– Bien que la loi dit qu’il n’y a pas besoin de plan d’étude, mais si votre cas est difficile. Vous devriez préparer un plan d’étude pour accroître la persuasion auprès du consulat.
